Cyper can record signals from radio remotes in RAW format without decoding, similar to how a dictaphone records sound.
The signals are demodulated in accordance with modulation settings. You can use the Read RAW function to record signals with known and unknown protocols for later playback and analysis.
On this page, you will learn how to record and playback RAW signals with your CyperPRO.
You have the option to manually toggle between frequencies and modulations in this menu, as well as define the minimum recorded signal strength. To access the Configuration Menu, while on the scanning screen, press X - Configure. You will encounter the following:
You can switch the frequencies on which Cyper receives signals. In the Configuration Menu, using the navigation buttons, you can manually set the frequencies from the available list:
To intercept a signal from a remote control, it's essential to configure the modulation settings in your CyperPRO device properly. CyperPRO doesn't come with pre-defined software settings tailored to specific types of remotes. Therefore, before you commence scanning for a signal, you need to manually adjust the modulation settings. Incorrect modulation configuration can lead to inaccurate data. CyperPRO supports both amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). In the Configuration Menu, using the navigation buttons, you can manually toggle between these modulation types.
This allows you to adapt the modulation to the specific signal you intend to capture, which is crucial for obtaining precise and reliable results.
AM (AMPLITUDE MODULATION): | FM (FREQUENCY MODULATION) |

If you've already configured the settings to your liking, to start recording, press the A button - Record. Cyper will automatically commence recording.
Remember that for a good recording, the remote should be relatively close to ensure a good range for future emulating.
To replay a saved recording, press the X button - Emulate. Your recording will be played back.
To save the recorded frequency, press the A button - Save. Cyper will prompt you to enter a name for the saved remote.
If you prefer not to provide a name, simply press the Enter key, and then press A - Save again. You will see a confirmation of successful "recording" saved on the screen. You can find the recording in the "Saved" tab.
